I pulled 30 COLORIFIC dark and medium values, a variety of small and large print styles, and mostly lowintensity hues, finishing with just a sparkle of high-intensity periwinkle. Color Story Occasionally, you may come across a concoction of color brought together in such a way that you feel you must honor it with a personal homage.
Sew the remaining Border 1 rectangles onto the top and bottom. Press. 5. Sew together a set of 8 units from Step 4 with a square background block on each end. Press. Make 2 of these sets and attach a set to each end of the rectangle. Start sewing, using a 1/4˝ seam allowance. Stop 1/4˝ away from the first corner (see Step 1), and backstitch one stitch. Lift the presser foot and needle. Rotate the quilt one-quarter turn. Fold the binding at a right angle so it extends straight above the quilt and the fold forms a 45° angle in the corner (see Step 2).
